For some webpage that using javascript to make ajax calles will not work properly. It is becuase PHProxy get no chance to rewrite it’s URL, and maybe the javascript on the webpage doesn’t work properly after something rewrite. For example, google home page doesn’t work in PHProxy.

WordPress wp-admin site works fine in PHProxy, there are a lot of javascript, but it just works. So I guess there must be no ajax call in wp-admin site. One thing I thought it would using an ajax call that also works, so that I am wrong, it is just a javascript string operation. So everything works in WordPress with PHProxy.
